    Richard Miller, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist, author, and yogic scholar who founded the iRest (Integrative Restoration) Institute. His approach to Yoga Nidra has been extensively researched and is now used in VA hospitals, military bases, homeless shelters, and prisons across the United States. Richard's work has been instrumental in bringing the healing power of Yoga Nidra into clinical settings, with research demonstrating its effectiveness for PTSD, chronic pain, insomnia, and other conditions. He has studied yoga since 1970, holds lineage in Kashmir Shaivism, and is a founding member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. His books, including "Yoga Nidra: A Meditative Practice for Deep Relaxation and Healing," have introduced countless practitioners to the transformative power of conscious sleep. Richard's contribution to yoga therapy and the integration of yoga into healthcare represents some of the most important work in modern yoga.
